Services |
Irving house was built as a large two family house. there
are rooms on four floors and we have no elevator.
while the rooms at the top are very quiet, and some
have skylights, they are a walk up. if you cannot *do*
stairs, please ask for a lower floor. we will try to
assign a room on the first or second floor for you.
because it is just a big house, we ask that guests all
be quiet after ten p m in consideration of other
guests. we have a small conference room which in the
mornings is the tv area of the dining room. afternoon
tea and cookies are also available in the dining room.
there is an ice machine and a refrigerator for guest
use. there is a coin-op laundry facility too, off the
breakfast room. in good weather, the front porches
provide a sunny reading area in the afternoons. we
reserve one of these for our guests who like to smoke. |

harvard yard. home of pro arte, the revels, and plenty
of world class music.
american repertory theatre - in the loeb drama center on
brattle street
brattle theatre - an historic theatre in the heart of
harvard square, the brattle theatre presents classic
and independent films, film festivals and the annual
chlotrudis awards.
jose mateo ballet theatre - in the old cambridge baptist
church on massachusetts avenue, just south of harvard
yard, jose mateo ballet theatre presents classic and
innovative ballet in a small venue.
improv*20boston - at the back alley theatre in inman
square. you never know what you*ll see, but it will be
well worth it*
the market theatre - now open at zero arrow street, the
market theatre returns to harvard square with original
works in a small elegant venue.
club passim - where folk musicians hone their art and keep
it alive and kickin* open mike on mondays, comedy
nights several times throughout the year. the oldest
music club in the country*
