Located approximately six miles from the Reno-Tahoe International
Airport, this Victorian-themed downtown hotel is connected to the
Circus Circus and Eldorado Hotel Casino via skywalk.
The
mining theme of this hotel celebrates the legacy of Sam Fairchild, a
man who found silver in Nevada in the 1850's and became one of the
wealthiest barons in the American West. Today, the hotel is located
at the site of Fairchild's original mine. The tallest hotel in
Nevada, it features two silver towers and is home to a
light-and-sound show that simulates a dawn-to-dusk atmospheric
sequence every two hours. Decorated in dark wood, green marble,
and brass, the lobby features a glass case holding 43 silver pieces.
The Legacy Saloon and the Silver Baron's Bar and Lounge feature
nightly entertainment, with a 1,600-seat hall. Amenities include a
busines center and the on-site restaurants Sterling's Seafood
Steakhouse, Fairchild's Oyster Bar, Sweetwater Cafe 24-hour Coffee
Shop, and Victorian Buffet.
Other amenities include a health club
(which includes two hot tubs, an outdoor pool, sauna, free weights,
and workout machines), Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club, 85,000
square feet of gaming space, and 90,000 square feet of convention
space. The activity desk books tours, including excursions to
Virginia City and Lake Tahoe. The resort's boutiques carry apparel,
gifts, and jewelry. For guests who decide to rent cars, the hotel
has a car-rental desk and provides free parking. |
